How Devstar Studio handles information when you use the Devstar Studio website.

Updated September 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Devstar Studio handles information when you visit devstar.studio or send a message through the website contact form. It applies to the Devstar Studio website itself. Devstar Studio products may have separate privacy policies describing their own data practices.

1. Information handled by this website

You do not need to create an account to browse this website. Devstar Studio does not run advertising trackers or a first-party behavioral analytics system on this site.

Contact form information

If you use the contact form, we process the information you choose to provide. The form asks for your first name and email address, and may also include your last name, phone number, related product, topic, and message.

Contact submissions are sent to a Devstar Studio Firebase Function for validation and abuse protection, then stored in a private Firestore collection so the message can be reviewed and answered. The public website does not receive direct read or write access to that collection.

Direct email

If you contact us directly by email, we receive your email address, message content, and any other information or attachments you choose to send.

Theme preference

If you choose a light or dark theme, the site stores that preference in your browser using local storage under the key devstar-theme. The preference stays on your device unless you clear it or change the theme. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Technical delivery data

Infrastructure providers may process technical request data required to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the site. This can include an IP address, browser or device information, requested URL, request time, and security or error information. Devstar Studio does not store raw IP addresses as part of normal contact-message records.

2. How we use information

Information available to us is used as reasonably necessary to:

  • respond to support, billing, privacy, business, or general inquiries;

  • operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website and contact service;

  • limit obvious form abuse and repeated submissions; and

  • comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. Service providers

We use service providers to operate and publish the website, including:

  • Firebase for public website hosting, the contact server function, and private Firestore storage for contact messages and abuse controls.

  • Payload CMS as the self-hosted content management system used by authorized Devstar Studio editors.

  • Google Cloud / Firebase infrastructure for the private CMS database and media services.

  • Email infrastructure used to receive and respond to direct email messages.

These providers process information under their own service terms and privacy practices and may process technical data in countries other than your own.

4. Data sharing and sale

Devstar Studio does not sell personal information collected through this website. Information may be handled by the service providers described above when necessary to operate the website, or disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect legal rights and service security.

5. Retention

Contact messages and related support records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, prevent repeated abuse, or meet legal obligations. Technical logs controlled by infrastructure providers are subject to those providers' retention practices.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the website and the information handled through it. Contact records are not exposed through public Firestore rules. Website content is managed in a private self-hosted Payload CMS, with editing access restricted to authorized Devstar Studio users. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

7. External websites and product stores

The website links to third-party services such as browser extension stores, product websites, checkout providers, and GitHub. When you follow an external link, the destination service is responsible for its own privacy practices. This policy does not control those third-party sites.

8. Your choices and privacy requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to personal information, such as asking for access, correction, deletion, or information about how it is handled. To make a privacy request, contact us at run.devstar@gmail.com. We may need enough information to verify and process the request appropriately.

9. Children's privacy

This website is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the contact form, contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the website, contact system, providers, or applicable requirements change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision.
